How To Tame A Dolphin In Minecraft?

Minecraft is a game about exploring and interacting with different areas and creatures. While you can find treasures and rare loot when you explore places, interacting with NPCs and animals gives a sense of realism to the game. These living creatures are also known as mobs in Minecraft. All of the mobs in Minecraft behave and interact with you differently.

Dolphins in Minecraft are a type of neutral mob. They spawn in the ocean biomes and are really friendly creatures, just like in real life. Minecraft gives you the option to tame some animals in-game. Taming a dolphin in Minecraft sounds like a fun concept, right? So, let’s answer the question, How to tame a dolphin in Minecraft.

Unfortunately, taming a dolphin in Minecraft is not entirely possible. You can tame wolves and ocelots in Minecraft, but not dolphins. Although, there are other things that you can do to enjoy dolphin company in Minecraft.

There is a lot of fun stuff to do in Minecraft, and some of it can be done with dolphins.

Dolphins are neutral mobs in Minecraft, which means that they won’t attack you on sight after spotting you. Although, if you choose violence against them, the entire mob of dolphins will also attack you. So, it might not be the best idea anyway. You can find dolphins in Minecraft in the ocean biomes. They are easy to spot as they are seen jumping above water.

If you actually end up killing a dolphin, there’s not much reward in that too. They will occasionally drop some raw cod for you and 1-3 XP orbs. You might as well want to skip the hassle and keep them alive for the benefits that they can provide.

Now that is the question that you might be asking yourself. How do you tame a Dolphin in Minecraft? The answer is simple. You cannot. It’s unfortunate, but that’s how it is. You can feed them some raw salmon or raw cod, but they still won’t be tamed as they will go back into the water after you have fed them.

However, there are still a few benefits that you can enjoy from feeding a Dolphin. After you have found a dolphin and fed them, the dolphin will guide you to an underwater treasure. This is an excellent way to locate any hidden items or treasures underwater. Once you have looted the chest that you found by following the dolphin, you can repeat the process by feeding the dolphin again.

Dolphin’s Grace

Dolphins can also give you a little speed boost after you have fed them some raw fish. You just have to swim past them to get this speed boost, and they will give you a much-needed speed boost. This speed boost only lasts for a short period of time, but it’s enough to save a little time of yours.

Dolphins are loving creatures in real life, and they are not much different in Minecraft as, well. But, it is unfortunate to know that they cannot be tamed in-game like some other animals. It’s not all bad, though, because you can still get some fun benefits from feeding dolphins, like hidden treasure and the dolphin’s grace.

If you were thinking about taming a dolphin in Minecraft, we hate to be the bearer of bad news for you. But we hope the other benefits are significant enough to keep you interested in discovering some Minecraft dolphins.
