It is a known fact that Vampires can shift from one form to another. However, V Rising adds another layer to this dynamic by introducing a plethora of unique yet valuable shape-shifting forms that can be obtained through various sources.

In V Rising, most animal Vampiric forms can be obtained by defeating certain bosses like the Nightmarshal Styx and the Ferocious Bear. Since these forms are spread through the entirety of Vardoran, you will have to level up quite a bit to get them.

Procuring the Vampiric forms is much more than simple hide and seek. You might have to wander around the outskirts of the Dunley Farmlands in order to get strong enough to challenge most of these bosses.

In this guide, I will be showcasing the bosses that are needed to be defeated in order to unlock all the Vampiric forms present in V Rising.

V Rising: How To Obtain Vampire Forms

In total, there are 6 unique animal forms that a player can equip in order to gain certain perks while clearing specialized and non-specialized quests. While some of these forms are rather hard to obtain, most of them can still be unlocked at earlier levels.

With that said, here are all the forms present in V Rising along with their obtainable sources:

Bat Form

The Bat form can be obtained by taking the Nightmarshal Styx, the Sunderer down. You will be able to find him in the Cursed Forest region once you reach level 76. The battle is going to be arduous, so we recommend you make the necessary preparations before engaging.

Toad Form

The Toad form is unlocked after defeating the Duke of Balaton in the Swamp of Greed. You will have to head to the Cursed Forest in order to find this location. Furthermore, it’s recommended that you are at least level 62 before accessing the boss fight.

Bear Form

In terms of raw utility, the bear form surpasses every other form. Furthermore, it’s obtainable from an early point in the game. Therefore, you will be able to enjoy a plethora of buffs while using this form in your battles.

With that being said, the Bear form can be unlocked after defeating the Ferocious bear located on the eastern side of Farbane Woods.

Rat Form

You will need to defeat the Putrid Rat boss within your base. The summoning process can prove to be difficult since it requires a certain recipe to be summoned. With that being said, simply gather the following materials and you should be good to go:

Twilight Snapper x 1
Fish Bone x 4
Grave Dust x 8

Once the items have been collected, simply interact with the Vermin Nest and drop the items within it.

Human Form

The Human form is by far the most intriguing out of all the forms present in V Rising. However, you still do get some decent perks, so it works out rather well in the end. With that being said, you will need to defeat Beatrice, the Tailor in order to obtain this for.

Your level should be at least 38, and once defeated, simply drink her blood to obtain the form.

Wolf Form

The wolf form is the earliest of the unlockable forms and can be obtained by defeating the Alpha Wold at level 16. It has a great speed modifier, thereby making it decent for early game travel and chase. However, this effect is only applicable out of combat.

Therefore, any form of damage will snap you out of it. We recommend you go for this form no matter what since it smoothens out a lot of factors in the future.
