V Rising: How to Get Good Servants? 2024 (April)

Today we try to answer the question — V Rising: How to Get Good Servants?

The world of V Rising features a multitude of servants in order to aid you in growing your Castle. They’re responsible for handling the menial tasks of your estate. However, a good servant can provide more than simple stats and perks.

V Rising: How to Get Good Servants?

Once the Army of Darkness quest has been completed, you will be able to unlock the servant system. Simply convert humans into becoming your servants through your Castle and sort them out according to their specific stats.

Needless to say, converting humans to servants is not free and can, at times – require much more than Copper Bars. However, it’s arguable the best investment you can make while heading into the later stages of the game.

In this guide, I will be showing you the ins and outs of creating a servant along with the method of differentiating good servants from bad ones. Let’s dive in and get started!

How To Convert Humans Into Servants in V Rising

V Rising: How to Get Good Servants?

The only method of creating servants is by feeding the quality human beings with the Dominating Presence skill. While the method is rather straightforward, it often tends to yield servants of variable quality.

With that being said, here is the entire process of converting humans into servants in V Rising:

  • Find humans and attack them to bring their HP bars just under 30%.
  • Once done, simply press the Ctrl key in order to select Dominating Presence. However, you will need to construct the servant coffin as a prerequisite.

Here is the method for doing that:
    • Head to the Production tab and open Dominance.
    • From there, construct the Servant Coffin by consuming the following items:
ItemQuantity
Plank16
Copper Ingot8
Greater Blood Essence1
  • Press the conversion key on your keyboard. By default, this is mapped on the R.
  • Make the human follow you back to the Servant Coffin inside your Castle.
  • Click on the coffin and select Convert and you’re good to go!

You will be getting a single coffin at the start. However, upgrading your Castle Heart will automatically unlock more slots, thereby allowing you to place a considerable amount of Servant Coffins.

Differentiating Good Servants From Bad Ones

V Rising: How to Get Good Servants?

The quality of the servants you receive is almost entirely dependent on RNG. Therefore, it’s better to filter out the good yields from the bad ones instead. Having said that, the servants have their own set of unique stats, thereby making classification much easier.

Needless to say, it would be a challenge to find servants with identical stats. Thus, it’s always recommended to keep the good ones no matter what. That being said, you can judge a servant’s quality by judging the stats mentioned below:

Blood Type

This stat determines the overall type of the servant. You can have a Brute-type servant that’ll have specialized skills related to brawling and doing physical labor. The only method of identifying this is through the Blood Type stat.

Blood Quality

This determines the overall strength and quality of a servant. The greater the quality, the more potential the said servant possesses. If the analysis isn’t your strong suit then this stat is enough for you to make your decision.

Faction

This stat determines the type of perks a servant will possess. The perk is almost entirely dependent on the type of region the faction belongs to. Therefore, it’s great for analyzing a servant’s performance potential in certain tasks.

Conclusion

In essence, there is no hard and fast rule to obtaining good servants in V Rising. Rather, it’s more about careful classification. You only need to keep the best of the best since the Servant Coffins are rather limited in quantity.

Not played V Rising yet? It can be found on Steam for a pretty cheap price! Keep in mind that it’s still early access, so it’s not a fully complete game.
